CELEBRATING 26 YEARS OF TEACHING! Glassblowing classes at Blown Away Glass Studio ® are fun and are known nation-wide as one of the most hands-on glass blowing experiences offered! We have taught thousands of people since we opened in 1999 and absolutely love meeting new people and our clients have the best time learning how to blow! There are so many options to find the right workshop for you! Prices are subject to change.

Our glassblowing studio has the hand tools set up for the right hand. You can still blow glass as a lefty, you will be using both your hands - left hand turn's the pipe while the right hand uses the handtools.

We only teach people 16 years of age or older. We recommend wearing light cotton clothing and closed toed shoes. Bring a water bottle.

The pieces you create need to cool overnight, so you will have to plan to come back to pick up your pieces.

There is an inherent risk to glassblowing and there is a waiver to sign when you get here. Please be responsible while you are in our studio.

One Hot Date

2 hour private workshop for two!

The first in the One Hot Date Series. Do them in order as listed.

A two hour private workshop for two! During the two hours you will make a paperweight and a drinking glass in the colours of your choice. These run Fridays from 4-6; Saturdays & Sundays 11-1 & 2-4.

$350.00 + HST per couple.

First Base Date

2 hour private workshop for two!

The second in the One Hot Date series. It’s another two hour private workshop for two in which you each make a blown ornament and a bowl in the colours of your choice! These are held some Fridays from 4-6; Saturdays & Sundays 11-1 & 2-4.

$350.00 + HST per couple.

2 hour private workshop for two!

It’s the third date, time to get serious and make a drinking glass to start and then a beautiful vase each in the colours of your choice. These run Fridays from 4-6; Saturdays & Sundays 11-1 & 2-4.

The fourth in the One Hot Date Series.

You will each make another glass to match your set you have started and then a plate. These run Fridays from 4-6; Saturdays & Sundays 11-1 & 2-4.

2 hour private workshop for two!

The fifth date in the One Hot Date Series.

You will start with a drinking glass each as your warm up pieces and then make your own pendant lights! These run Fridays from 4-6; Saturdays & Sundays 11-1 & 2-4.

Grand Slam

2 hour private workshop for two!

The final date in the One Hot Date Series.

Make anything of your own design! You have a lot of experience by now and can DO much of the work yourselves. Push your limits and we will be there to make sure it comes off! These run Fridays from 4-6; Saturdays & Sundays 11-1 & 2-4.

$350.00 + HST per couple.

Double Date

2 hour private workshop for four!

Want to go on a One Hot Date with another couple? You can each do a One Hot Date at the same time! All four of you will make a paperweight and drinking glass in the colours of your choice. These run Fridays from 4-6; Saturdays & Sundays 11-1 & 2-4.

$700.00 + HST per foursome.

Third Wheel

2.5 hour private workshop for three people!

Want to do a One Hot Date! but have three people? All three of you will make a paperweight and drinking glass in the colours of your choice. These run Fridays from 3:30-6; Saturdays & Sundays 10:30-1 & 1:30-4.

$525.00 + HST per threesome.

Weekend Workshop

Perfect if you are a beginner or have experience at any level.

These are two day workshops that run Saturday and Sunday from 10-4 on some weekends. They are quite intensive, the goal is to get all the students working together as a team. By the end of the weekend you are all making the pieces from start to finish with minimal help from us! Up to 6 students per class.

$525.00 + HST per person

Choose Your own Adventure Party!

Each person gets to make whatever you the host chooses in the colours of your guests choice! For instance if you are hosting your husband's birthday party and he loves fishing - you could choose that everyone gets to make a glass fish - Call us to have fun discussing possibilities! 519-846-8268

4 Day Summer Camp

JULY 22ND - 25TH, 2025 FROM 10-4 DAILY

Beginner or advanced students welcome! You will make many pieces each day and assist other students with their projects. These classes run once a year from 10-4 for 4 days in a row Tuesday thru Friday. 6 students per class. 


$900.00 + HST per person.

Each person gets to blow either a whiskey, wine or pint glass in the colours of their choice! Up to 10 students per class.

Friendship Ball Workshop

Elora is a great place to bring your team! Lots of great places to eat and stay with plenty of things to do with your colleagues!


Ornament Event - 2-3 hours

Each member blows an ornament in the colours of their choice.

$90.00 + HST per person * minimum $600 maximum 12 guests


Pumpkin Event - 2-3 hours

Each member blows a piece of fruit in the colours of their choice.

$90.00 + HST per person * minimum $600 maximum 10 guests


Whiskey, Wine or Pint Glasses Event - 2-3 hours

Each team member blows their own glass in the style and colour of their choice.

$100.00 + HST per person * minimum $600 maximum 10 guests
