These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Blown Away Glass Studio website and to the products, classes, workshops, events and custom work you buy from us. Please read them carefully. By using our website, placing an order, or booking a class, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or place an order.
In these Terms, “Blown Away”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Blown Away Glass Studio, located at 6506 Wellington Road 7, Elora, ON N0B 1S0. “You” means the person using our website or buying from us.
We make hand-blown glass, and every piece is individually crafted. Because our work is made by hand, small variations in colour, shape, size, pattern and finish are natural and are part of the character of hand-blown glass; they are not defects. Product images are as accurate as we can make them, but colours may appear differently on different screens.
We try to keep our website and stock information accurate and current, but we do not warrant that all content is error-free or complete, and we may correct errors and update information at any time.
When you place an order through our online shop, you are making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted when we send confirmation or ship your item. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable, if there is an error in the price or description, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund the amount paid.
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes, including HST, which are added at checkout. Shipping charges, where they apply, are shown before you complete your order. We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already accepted.
Payment is processed securely at our WooCommerce checkout by our third-party payment gateway. By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
Available shipping options, and local pickup from our Elora studio where offered, are shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Risk of loss and title for items pass to you when the order is delivered, or when you collect it for local pickup. Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us promptly if anything arrives damaged (see “Returns and refunds”).
If you are not satisfied with a ready-made item from our shop, please contact us after delivery to arrange a return. Returned items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process an approved refund to your original payment method.
Custom, commissioned and memorial pieces, including “Ash in the Glass” pieces, are made to order and are non-refundable and non-returnable, except where an item arrives damaged or defective.
Damaged or defective items. If your item arrives damaged or is defective, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery with your order number and photos, and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law.
Classes, workshops, date-night experiences and team-building events can be booked through our website. Full payment or a deposit may be required to hold your spot.
Our studio is a working hot glass studio. For safety, participants must be at least 18 years old and must follow all safety instructions and wear the required clothing and footwear (please see the Classes page for what to wear). We may ask anyone who does not follow safety instructions, or who is impaired, to stop, for their own safety and the safety of others. Participants may be required to sign a waiver before taking part.
Classes, workshops, team-building events, parties and other events are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel within two weeks of your confirmed date, you will lose 50% of the amount paid, and the other 50% can be put towards another class or towards pieces for sale in our gallery. If you cancel within two days of your class, or miss it, no refund will be issued. We may cancel or reschedule a class, for example due to low enrolment, staff illness or equipment issues; if we do, we will offer you an alternative date or a refund.
Gift cards and prepaid class credits are valid for two years from the date of purchase, are not redeemable for cash, and cannot be replaced if lost.
We may take photos or video during classes and events for our records and promotion. Please let us know before your class if you would prefer not to appear.
Commissions begin once we agree on the design, price and timeline, and once any required deposit is paid. Because each commission is made by hand and to your specifications, timelines are estimates, finished pieces will vary slightly from samples or drawings, and deposits and commissioned pieces are non-refundable except where a piece arrives damaged or defective. We will keep you informed and seek your approval at the agreed stages.
All content on our website, including text, images, photographs, logos, designs and the “Blown Away” name and marks, is owned by or licensed to Blown Away Glass Studio and is protected by intellectual property laws. Our glass designs are our original work. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or use our content or designs for commercial purposes without our written permission.
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes, and not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, or try to gain unauthorized access to it. We may suspend or withdraw access to the website at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blown Away Glass Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products, and our total liability in connection with any product or service is limited to the amount you paid for it. Participation in studio activities involves inherent risks associated with heat, tools and a working studio; to the extent permitted by law, you take part voluntarily and accept those risks, and any waiver you sign applies. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any policies shown at checkout or booking, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of our website and your purchases.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the “Last updated” date, and it applies to orders and bookings made after it is posted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You agree that the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms, our website, or your purchases, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Cancellation & refund policy: All classes / workshops / teambuildings / parties / events are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
